What is
saju?

New to saju? Here's the whole idea in five minutes — no charts, no jargon.

Saju reads four moments, not a star sign

Saju (사주, literally "four pillars") reads four moments of your birth — the year, the month, the day, and the hour. Each pillar adds two characters, so a full chart is eight characters that describe how you're built.

A sun sign hands everyone born in the same month the same label. Saju reads the exact moment you arrived, so two people born weeks apart read completely differently.

It runs on the five elements

Everything in saju is built from five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. You're a mix of all five, with one usually leading. Your balance of elements is what describes how you move, rest, decide, and connect.

Your day master is the center

The element of your birth day — your "day master" — is the single most important piece. It stands for your core self, and everything else in the chart relates back to it.

It's a mirror, not a forecast

Saju describes patterns you already live — how you tend to think, love, and work. It doesn't predict events or dates, and it isn't a diagnosis. Think of it as a mirror, not a fortune.

Questions
Is saju a fortune or horoscope?
No. Saju describes your existing patterns and tendencies — it does not predict the future or give a daily horoscope.
Do I need my birth time for saju?
Birth time sharpens the reading (it sets the hour pillar), but you can still get a meaningful read from your birth date alone.
